Roadmaps

One timeline for every team

A configurable, cross-project Gantt view with swimlanes and drag-to-reschedule bars — the roadmap tool you don't have to leave Azure DevOps for.

Planning across teams usually means a separate roadmapping tool, a spreadsheet, or a slide that's out of date the moment someone reschedules a sprint. None of them stay in sync with the actual work items.

How it works

1

Set the timeline

Pick a scale — week, month, quarter or year — and optionally a field to split work into swimlane rows, like work item type or area.

2

Add your projects

Bring in work items from one or more Azure DevOps projects, each with its own date source: explicit start/end fields, or derived straight from sprint dates.

3

Filter what belongs

Use the same per-project filter builder as Insights to decide exactly which work items land on the roadmap.

4

Plan by dragging

Move a bar to shift both dates, resize either edge to change start or end independently, and anything without valid dates lands in a clearly separate Unplanned section.

Unplanned

No valid start or end date

TASK-242 — Write migration guide for legacy fieldsBUG-241 — Board flickers when switching roadmap scale

Dummy data — nothing here touches a real Azure DevOps project.

What makes it different

Real Gantt, real projects

Bars are sized and positioned from actual work item dates or sprint schedules, across as many projects as you need.

Swimlanes on your terms

Group rows by work item type, area, team, or any field you choose.

Drag to reschedule

Move or resize a bar and Trajektori updates the underlying dates — or reassigns the sprint — after a quick confirmation.

Nothing gets lost

Items without a valid start or end date still show up, clearly separated in an Unplanned section.

Family highlighting

Click a bar to see its parent and child work items highlighted across the roadmap.

Plan your first roadmap

Roadmaps ships as part of Trajektori. Install it from the Marketplace and turn scattered sprints into one shared timeline.
